Adsorption of chemical elements and their isotopes from air, e.g. Iodine, Barium, Strontium, is researched using the results of gamma-activation analysis in AU-1500 carbon filters. Quantitative characteristics of filtering elements, which are necessary for effective clearing of air from very disperse dust, are obtained [1-3]. Physical reasons to explain the nonuniform distribution dependences of nanoscopic fractions of dust in adsorbent, resulting in abnormal increase of its aerodynamic resistance, are found. As it is revealed, in operation for a case of a continuously restored source of dust, the distribution dependences of discrete size nanoporous particles can be closely approximated by Gauss statistics. The estimation of transport rate of such dust derivations, which actively adsorb chemical elements and their isotopes, is completed. This process has place on dust bunches more intensively, than on granules, since the particles, creating them, are of nanometer scale and have bigger specific surface per unit mass, which provides the preferred adsorption, on both the surface and inside their volume. Analysis of influence of theses processes on serviceability of filters is performed. Work is supported by Nuclear Science and Technology Fundamental Research Program at NSC KIPT.
