Most realistic systems of interest cannot be modelled by simplistic text-book-type nearest neighbor only models of magnetism. In this talk I will review some of our work in trying to construct
the relevant model of magnetism pertinent for that system, as well as implications on experiments considering examples of diverse systems as manganites, double perovskite oxides and dilute
magnetic semiconductors. |
